Review of the Renegade Gear Portable Solar Battery
I let the Solar Battery charge for a few hours in the window sill at home and then on the dash of the Jeep while traveling to the trailhead. We were on a three-day-two-night backpacking trip in Oregon. When we began the hike my phone was at 30% I plugged into the Renegade Gear Portable Solar Battery so we could use the GPS and mileage tracking app on the phone. when we took a break at about 3 miles the phone had charged to 90% all while the GPS and mileage apps were turned on.
When we arrived at the lake we were hiking to the battery in the GPS and Mileage tracker had run down to 24%. I connected the Renegade Gear Portable Solar Battery to the phone and again it charged to 100%. On day 2 we took a side trip along the Pacific Crest Trail I left the Renegade Gear Portable Solar Battery sitting on a stump back at camp to recharge although it was an overcast day it had recharged to 5 blue lights full charge there were only 2 lights when I set down to charge. It was dropped at least once during the trip and got wet during a short downpour and continued to work.
